[Quotes] The best of John Green

John Green is one of my best friend's favorite authors. It all started with 'Fault of the stars', the book. I lived through each of her processes while she read it and I loved the way in which the story caught her. Nothing like what I liked to read, I at that time was more than books of wars, when I had time. She, like an inveterate romantic, fell in love with each of the characters that John created. I always decided to read them, until I realized that thanks to the work I did not have time. The movies came out and with the story of Gus I was devastated crying in the seat of a downtown movie theater. I understood how fucked up it is to love when your days are numbered when you know that you will be only for a while and you do not have that infinite calendar with which we all plan to count. I fell in love with his story, with the characters, his victories and his defeats.

Then, I read 'Paper Towns' a book that reminds me of the good times I spent with my friends, that blue table that was part of our sitcom, that Chinese restaurant that received us every Friday. This work by Green makes me nostalgic, as you can see. It reminds me of those moments where we were happy and yes we knew it. But life is a bitch, we had to grow up.

Thanks to how much I miss my best friend and my group of friends in general, was born this post with the best quotes of John Green. I never get sentimental, but today is the perfect day to listen to For Broken Heart or see Paper Towns while we cry eating ice cream.

I designed this post so you can share each phrase in your favorite social network: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter. Do not forget to remind your friends how much you love them and how important they are to your life.

'As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.'

'My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.'

'You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world... but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices.'

'Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.'

'The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.'

'The marks humans leave are too often scars.'

'What a slut time is. She screws everybody.'

'You can love someone so much... But you can never love people as much as you can miss them.'

'Maybe our favorite quotations say more about us than about the stories and people we're quoting.'

'The town was paper, but the memories were not.'

Good vibes only.
